Hello everyone,

It looks like my record deal has been put on hold by life's ups and downs. We are looking for other options to continue and finish the CD but as of now, the issue is at rest, And that's not all, The producer of the film, "In the Midnight Hour" The Wilson Pickett Story", has been put on hold and pushed back to January 2010, because of a long illness.
We all experience these ups and downs in life and no one is dismissed from these infractions of life and that includes me. However, I am blessed. I have my boys who love me unconditionally, my extended family, who loves and cares for me, that is you and my God who is always with me, even when I feel alone, which I realize very quickly, I'm not.
I have a slow summer if you have been checking my show schedule, and my birthday came and went with out a lot of whoop-la, but I'm still grateful. Many of you sent me emails and I received a few cards, and I thank you.
I spent my 49th birthday with Myles, my son whom is soon to be 14 year old, he keeps reminding me, at the Pizza Hut Buffet. That's right, if you have never been, its all the pasta, salad and pizza you can eat for 5 bucks. And Myles paid for it. He was very proud to take his Dad out. He is at Boyscout camp this week and when he gets back on Tuesday, we are going to see my Mom, his grand mother whom raised me in Columbia SC. We are preparing to go and stay with my sister, in Charlotte, visit some friends and really just eat some good home cooking. As some of you may know, my Mom has turn 91, and has slowed down quite a bit. Her Dr., recommended that everyone in the family that live abroad should make a great effort to see her as soon as possible because of her failing health. I called her to let her know I was indeed coming home, and she jumped for joy according to my sister. My mom, Annie Bell Davis raised me from 3 days old along with over 400 other foster children in South Carolina, and God has blessed her with many days. She lost her husband, John Henry Davis when I was 6 years old and she never remarried. To tell you the truth, I don't know how she did it, especially young me running around the house. Mr energy. She use to yell at my big sister not to give me candy, or she threaten to make me sleep in my sister's room, which of course meant no sleep for my big sister.
I will be starting back to work around the 20th of August with Legends In Concert in St. Louis at the Lumiere Casino if you are near by, we will be there for four weeks. I'm portraying Stevie Wonder in that show and I believe, Steve McCoy as Tom Jones will be in that show as well.
Oh, Last week at the Hollywood Casino, I met Bootsy Collins and his wife/business manager at the Hollywood Casino in Lawrence burg, IN. Now Bootsy was James Brown's original Bass player for years before he became a big star on his own in the late 70s. You have to be a Funk fan to know this guy and also he is like a modern day Little Richard.
It was a grand opening celebration, at the Hollywood Casino with over 5000 people attending and it was fun.
Let's see, I have a few in engagements with the Diamond Princess Cruise Ship coming up in October and Legends in Concert in Branson, MO to finish the year. I'm excited about that because the show is now in the new American Bandstand Theater which is Dick Clark's Theater.
That's it for now. In between then and now, we will try and finish the CD, and I have a few other projects in the works, and I don't want to spill the beans until I know this will be solid but a new show may be coming on the strip in Las Vegas for 2010. Also for those who are wondering, I'm still single and not looking but waiting. I know some of you asked but I'm ok now, and I'm taking life as it goes and I'm focus on my boys, work and retirement how ever my goal is still to get that permanent show on the strip somewhere USA. Traveling the world is great but can be very lonely, and I know some of you know what I'm talking about. So I will keep you up on the latest and greatest, just keep checking back with me.

Thank you for your love,

Bobby Brooks Hamilton
