From the Land Down Under

Hello from The Gold Coast, Australia. Now if you haven't had a chance to check this beautiful place out, you are missing a truly beautiful unique wonder in this world. To me its a cross between LA, not Lower Alabama, but that place in California and Waikiki, Hawaii. Its tropic but hip with multicultural eateries, music and shopping. It has some crazy nite life clubs and smooth Jazz joints as well and it seems like Americas spring break every time I get a chance to come here although it is the precursor to winter here in The Gold Coast.
Unfortunately, I haven't done a lot of shows due to cancellation because of the heavy rainfalls and the world economy thanks to the Global Warming and our wonderful friends in Wall Street, but this week being the week for the Winter Sun Festival, we remain positive.
We did perform at a benefit to the Arts community in Brisbane as many artist were awarded for their piece that was picked up by the local Arts Community to be on display for art lovers all over the world when they visit Brisbane, so that was fun. I'm here with the very young but talented Lance Lapinsky, doing his take of Jerry Lee Lewis and adding a few of his original material to the show which I may add is quite good for the little prick ly guy.
Mattman the promoter is taking it in the shorts this season with the way things are flowing but I'm sure he will snap back with a show that's sure to keep the very nice people of Brisbane entertained for many years to come. We are staying at his lovely home with his beautiful wife and sister visiting from London. Since we haven't had many shows and Mattman's home is shall we say, in the woods, lance and myself have found wonderful ways to keep Mattman and his wife and sister entertained, I'm sure after this season, neither Lance or myself will be invited back to stay at his lovely home. If he hire us again, I'm sure he will find a nice lodge 10 or 30 miles from his home. which may have been part of our plan, but will make a win win situation for all parties involved.
Not much else to report till we do the shows this week, so I will have a follow up report for all of you that remain on our newsletter list and of course those that care.
I also like to announce my mentor, partner and supporter Gus Churchill our of Seattle Washington has completed my first DVD and I have posted it on the website. Iy is a complete DVD with 90 mins of yours truly singing all the Motown era hits for your pleasure. So if you would like to pick one up, just go to the BBH Products Icon and follow the instructions. Now Gus has spent many hours putting this together for you so I know you will love the DVD and also we are adding Motown, CDs as well as a 3rd CD I have recorded for the tour here in Australia.
